The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC - Gujarat Jaher Seva Aayog) was constituted under article 315(1) of the constitution of India has defined function of the Gujarat public service commission in which one of the most significant power listed is an advisory. GPSC can give advice to the president and the governors of any other state.
As per the provision of the Constitution of India formation of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC - Gujarat Jaher Seva Aayog) has been made on 01 May, 1960.
Recruitment Commission/Board shall carry out activities like advertising in daily newspapers, receiving online applications from candidates through GPSC - OJAS website, conducting first stage MCQ exam, Main Written (Descriptive) Exams, Interview and documents verification as per rules. All arrangements in this regard shall be carried out by the Bharti board (recruitment board), as per the Bharti Niymo (recruitment rules), exam rules, resolutions, circulars and established reservation policy of the government.
